Wayne Bilinovic, a 1986 Trinity graduate, has been named the head boys' basketball coach, succeeding Bill Svoboda, who retired after 15 years as head coach.

Bilinovic, 36, was the head boys basketball coach at Garfield Heights High School for the past five years.

His experience stretches back to his own days on the high school hardwood.

Bilinovic played for Trinity, where he was the 1985 North Coast League Most Valuable Player. Later at the collegiate level, as a guard for Baldwin Wallace, Bilinovic was named an Academic All-American in 1990. He is employed as a Controller for Atys US, Inc.

“We are excited about the possibility of having Wayne share his knowledge and love of the game with our student athletes,” said Athletic Director John Kall. “I'm confident he will build upon our fine tradition of Catholic sportsmanship and competitive spirit.”
